THZ Accessibility Vision Statement
Temple Har Zion will persue its mission by supporting people with disabilities in the congregation, educationg lay leaders, volunteers, staff and congregants in order to prmote a synagogue where all members share a sense of dignity, respect and inclusion.

Temple Har Zion welcomes people with all abilities and is fully committed to being accessible to our members and guests.
In an effort to be inclusive,THZ has the following accessibility, assistive devices and other related amenities to address the special need requirements of our members, their families and our guests:
o Accessible handicap parking spaces.
o A ramp from the handicap parking spaces, leads to our main floor where the Debby Kaplan Sanctuary, Social Hall.
o Specially equipped washroom facilities is situated on the main floor.
o Wide doorways that allows accessibility to the sanctuary, social hall and rooms on the lower floors.
o Hearing Aids.
o Large Print Siddurim.
o Elevator to access both the main foyer and lower floor (where the library, offices, cloakroom, washrooms and additional meeting spaces are located).
o Seating spaces to accommodate extra leg room (on an as needed basis).
o Movable wall to accommodate and adapt to events between the Sanctuary and the Social Hall.
o Bimah Lift in a move to accommodate those of our congregants, their families as well as others who come to the Temple and wish to be raised safely and comfortably up to the bimah (on an as needed basis).
